When you need to record what the ADAS does
Those attendees wandering around in front of the National Instruments booth could see their radar echoes on the PXI instrumentation set up there. NI makes an ADAS record and playback system designed to record field data from ADAS sensors that can be played back in the lab to simulate driving. The system consists of the modules in the PXI chassis visible here which, at the show, took sensor inputs from the cameras and radar seen here sitting atop the PXI chassis, along with an inertial sensor that was attached to a moving platform to generate a real-time display of orientation as the sensor rotated and cavorted around. The instrumentation accepted ADAS data at up to 15 GB/sec with a synchronization to within less than a microsecond. www.ni.com
